Since graduating from Georgia State’s BA program in Anthropology in 2024, Mallory Holcomb (class of 2021) has been working as an archaeologist with the CRM (Cultural Resource Management) firm, All Phases Archaeology. Mallory is a Crew Chief with this firm and shared the following with us (along with some great photos from work in the field and in the lab):

"I have conducted archaeological surveys all over the Southeast, from Texas to Florida, with most projects being in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The various projects that we conduct are mostly Phase I surveys, but we also get Phase II and Phase III work on occasion. I have also been fortunate to work in the lab and help out with washing and bagging artifacts from the plethora of projects that we conduct! All in all, I have gained so much experience and skills as a CRM archaeologist, and hope to carry these skillsets with me for future educational and career prospects."
